3 Months Old

Oliver was 3 months old on October 30th and I'm sitting here wondering, just where the time went! I can't believe our guy has been here for 3 months already! He is really supposed to be about a month and a half, and I'm just amazed at how well he is doing considering he is constantly "catching up" to other 3 month olds! Our next check up is at 4 months, but when we took him in to our Pediatrician for spitting up bright yellow (I was scared to death but it ended up being a bad bottle of vitamins. ) he weighed 10 lbs 2 ounces.  That was about almost a month ago, so I'm guessing he is in the 12-13 pound range now.  He is constantly eating, smiling, cooing (his favorite is "goooo") and he really enjoys giving Mommy and Daddy presents such as blow-outs…. So fun! He is holding up his head most of the time when in our arms and tries to turn from his tummy to back a lot! He is sooo curious and loves walking around looking at every single thing! He enjoys long walks (heehe) and being with Momma in his Ergo Baby.  We can't believe how big he is getting every single day! He LOVES his food and becomes a fussy boy when I take it away to burp him… Momma better get real good at cooking, that's all I know! Here is our sweet love at 3 Months Old!

I could just eat him up!

BIG BOY!

Daddy's Boy

Ya think our boy takes after his Daddy or what?

He might look like his Daddy but he gives Mommy lots of Kisses!

October Love.

We had a lot going on in October and stayed busy with visitors and love from all over the country! We started out with a "mini-reunion" with Oliver's first friend, Nicholas who we met in the NICU.  Then we had some special visitors from North Star where Mommy used to teach.  We loved seeing so many friends from Albuquerque! And finally we rounded up the month with a visit from Aunt Bee and then Nana and Papa Oliver! I think as a result of all the love and hugs, Oliver definitely knows that he is way more comfortable in someone's arms then in his crib.  Now, he gets to hang with Momma all day long because the minute I put him down for a nap (unless he is totally sleepy) he wakes up and gets fussy.  Wouldn't you know that the minute I pick him up (because I'm way more of a sucker than I ever thought I'd be) he is JUST FINE. Oh my boy.  He loves his lovin, that's for sure!

And guess who has him again? :)
I think he justified being a baby hog since he finally got his boy!

2 Months Old

Ok, I admit it.  Oliver was 2 months old on September 30th and it's November.. OOPSIES! To my defense, we've had a lot of family in town and been busy so I finally have some time in between naps to post.  Oliver had his 2 month check up and surprised Dr. Sotelo with how much he is growing.  I'm pretty sure he even said the words, "You're boy is packing on pounds like mad!" Awesome pediatrician in my opinion! Here's an overview of what Oliver's little life was like at 2 months old..

- He had some baby acne (Mom was definitely not a fan but apparently it bugs parents more than the actual kid) That went away with time thankfully! Who knew you could get your very first pimples at a couple months old?

- He is still taking multivitamins with iron everyday and I definitely think those have helped keep him healthy and growing like a little weed.

- He primarily drank from bottles and we supplemented with Neosure formula.

- He weighed 8 lbs. 7 oz (doubled his birth weight) at his check up in September

- He was 21 inches long

- He no longer wore preemie clothes and graduated to the Newborn size and wore newborn diapers.

- Oliver started smiling socially and just melted our hearts every time!
